#Andy Dalton forced out of Cowboys game after horrifying headshot

Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton was on the wrong end of a gruesome helmet-to-helmet collision with Washington linebacker Jon Bostic in the third quarter of Sunday’s game.

Bostic dove head first into Dalton as the backup QB was sliding to end a scramble for 6 yards up the middle, resulting in brutal head-to-head hit that smacked Dalton’s head against the turf. A cart came out as Dalton stayed down on the field, but he ultimately walked off the field and to the locker room with assistance. Dalton, 32, was being evaluated for a concussion.

Referees immediately penalized Bostic and disqualified him from the game.

Dalton, who was starting his second game of the 2020 season since starter Dak Prescott suffered a devastating season-ending ankle injury in Week 6 against the Giants, finished the game with nine completions for 75 yards and one interception.

QB Ben DiNucci replaced Dalton at the end of the third quarter as Washington led the Cowboys 22-3.
