“#Android 12 Launch Is Imminent, Skip the 5th Beta – Review Geek”

Today Google announced the official Android 12 operating system release is “just a few weeks away,” but in the meantime, developers can also install the latest Android 12 beta 5. However, if Google’s promise of a global Android 12 release is that close, most people might as well skip this last beta.
This is the final beta for those not keeping track, following the 4th release back in August. These two final versions of Android 12 betas are “release candidates,” meaning they’re basically complete versions of Google’s new OS, and users shouldn’t expect many changes between now and the global launch. That said, if you’re a developer testing apps and games against the next version of Android, you may still benefit from downloading the 5th beta.
Additionally, the Android 12 beta 5 release adds support for the recently released Pixel 5A. That means owners can get Google’s newest software on Google’s latest device.
How to Get the Android 12 Beta 5 Update?

Google made the Android 12 beta available on more phones this year than in previous years, making it tempting to try early. However, if you didn’t try any of the earlier betas, we recommend waiting for the official launch of Android 12, which is “only a few weeks away,” according to Google.
That said, the easiest way to get it on your Pixel is by going to google.com/android/beta. However, after the successful beta last year with Android 11, the Android 12 beta has a huge list of supported devices. Here are the compatible phones so far, but remember, not all of them offer the 5th beta. You can learn more by clicking here.
We’ve added relevant download links for each device’s Android 12 beta if it’s available. Of course, you’ll want to double-check what you download before flashing anything to a non-Pixel device.
Those with a Google Pixel already on the fourth beta will get an automatic over-the-air update to Android 12 beta 5. Or, join the beta, and within a few minutes, you should see the OTA update hit your phone.
Android 12 Release Date & What’s Next

This is the last Android 12 beta Google will release. After this, the official version of Android 12 for all compatible devices will start rolling out next. At the same time, we’re also expecting the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro to debut sometime in late September or early October. So while Google could wait to release Android 12 with a new phone, that hasn’t stopped them in previous years.
If we take Google’s word for it, you can expect Android 12 to arrive within the next 2-3 weeks at the latest. Hopefully, we’ll have a clear idea of when the new Pixel 6 is coming out by then.
Either way, Android 12 is right around the corner.
