#Ammon Bundy arrested at Idaho capital for second time in 2 days

Anti-government activist Ammon Bundy was reportedly arrested at the Idaho statehouse Wednesday — for the second time in two days.

Bundy, who led a 2016 armed occupation of an Oregon wildlife refuge, was again placed in a wheelchair and removed from the state’s Senate gallery following protests over proposed coronavirus legislation, KATU reported.

Police had arrested Bundy on Tuesday after he occupied a press table in the statehouse and refused to leave. After declining to stand up, he was placed in a wheelchair, rolled away and later charged with trespassing.

State police told KATU Wednesday that Bundy is barred from entering the statehouse for a year after Tuesday’s arrest.

Idaho lawmakers are gathered this week for a special legislative session organized by Republican Gov. Brad Little to address contentious proposals related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bundy on Monday testified against a bill that aims to shield schools and businesses from civil liability claims should people get sick, the Idaho Press reported.

“The Idaho people are more than capable of keeping themselves safe,” he said at the time. “We the people are tired. We are tired of government force, and we will only take it for so long. I recommend you act wisely, because we will not live in fear.”
