#Oblivion Battery Airs Recap Special Next Week, Premieres 8th Episode on June 4
The eighth episode of the ongoing Oblivion Battery TV anime series has been delayed and will air on June 4, 2024 instead. Next week’s broadcast on May 28, 2024 will be a recap special looking at the highlights of episodes 1–7.
The high school baseball series first aired in Japan on April 10, 2024 and will consist of 12 total episodes.
Masato Nakazono (Chainsaw Man chief episode director) is directing the anime, with Tsuyoshi Iida as assistant director, Michiko Yokote (Tsurune, Call of the Night) as series screenwriter, Hitomi Hasegawa (Dance Dance Danseur) as character designer, and Tomoki Kikuya and Hiroko Yamasaki as music composers. MAPPA is in charge of the animation production for the series.
Other production staff include Junpei Tatenaka (Ace of Diamond) and Masahiro Tokumaru (Hanebado action animator) as action animation directors.
Meanwhile, the main anime voice cast includes:

Eko Mikawa’s baseball manga series was first launched on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform on April 26, 2018. Seventeen tankobon volumes have been released as of January 2024, with an 18th volume due out on June 4, 2024.

Iron-armed pitcher, Haruka Kiyomine, and the shrewd catcher, Kei Kaname, AKA the “Skilled General,” were once an unrivaled, monstrous battery duo in the middle-school baseball world. They were both scouted by various powerhouse high schools across the nation, but somehow, they both ended up at Tokyo Municipal Kotesashi High School, which wasn’t known for baseball at all. On top of that, other star players who had lost to that duo in the past and completely strayed from baseball coincidentally also enrolled at that school, and…
