#All Routes Lead to Doom! Gets New OVA September 30

During a special event for the anime adaptation of Satoru Yamaguchi and Nami Hidaka’s My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijō ni Tensei Shiteshimatta…) light novel series, it was announced that the manga adaptation’s seventh volume will be bundled with a new OVA in its special edition on September 30.

The new OVA will adapt the first volume of the light novel and will feature a story centered around the main characters in their early childhood. Additionally, it was announced that the 11th volume of the light novel will ship on August 20 alongside a special edition that will feature an original story.

The first season of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom premiered in April 2020, while the second and current season My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X, premiered on July 2. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs. 

J-Novel Club publishes the light novels digitally in English and describes the story as:

After hitting her head particularly hard one day, Duke Claes’ daughter, Katarina, suddenly recalls all the memories of her past life: that of a teenage Japanese girl. Just before her untimely death, this girl recalls playing an otome game… that is exactly like the world she’s living in now!

She is now Katarina Claes, the antagonist of the otome game, who nastily hounded the protagonist until the end. Knowing all the possible outcomes of the game, she realizes that every single possible route ends with Katarina being murdered or exiled! In order to avoid these Catastrophic Bad Ends, she has to use her knowledge of the game and her own wiles, starting with breaking off this engagement with the prince…
