Every night in NYC now seems like the 4th of July, thanks to a rash of people shooting off fireworks at each other.

Shocking videos posted Thursday shows small crowds running through the streets targeting people with Roman candles — and, at one point, firing at an NYPD patrol car.

At least two people have been hospitalized and are in critical condition after being hit in the chest by the fireworks sometime on Thursday, according to City Councilman Chaim Deutsch.

“I know teenagers have been cooped up inside for months, and they are eager to blow off steam, but there are safer, legal ways to have a good time,” Deutsch said in an email blast.

“I have spoken with local police precincts, and I expect a zero tolerance policy with regard to fireworks set off illegally. I have been assured that police will respond.”

It was unclear if the injuries were connected to videos posted online.

Complaints of the illegal pyrotechnics have exploded over the last few days — soaring to 3,655 since the start of June, compared to only 26 grievances over the same time last year, 311 data shows.

On Wednesday, 983 New Yorkers complained about the explosive devices, which was more complaints than the city received over the first 14 days of the month.

During the first two hours of Thursday alone, the city system had already logged 180 complaints of the illegal firecrackers. The latest 311 data available cuts off at 2 a.m. June 18.

“Illegal fireworks more prevalent than ever in NYC—with three weeks to go until Independence Day!” one Instagram user griped in a post with videos from three nights.

In the majority of cases, 2,232 calls, the pyros were either gone by the time police showed up or there was no evidence of the firecrackers, the data shows.

According to 311 data, cops “took action to fix the condition” in 868 complaints and issued summonses three times.

The NYPD did not respond for any details on how many, if any, arrests were made or if any additional summonses were issued in the nearly 900 incidents in which cops took action.
