#Adrianne Lenker is a force of motion in her “forwards beckon rebound” video

As if back-to-back Big Thief albums in 2019 wasn’t evidence enough, Adrianne Lenker cemented her role as one of the hardest working songwriters of our generation in 2020 with the release of two solo albums, songs and instrumentals. Last week, she performed lead single “anything” for Stephen Colbert, and today, she’s returning to the desert for the “forwards beckon rebound” video. The gorgeous, self-directed clip (created with producer V Haddad and cinematographer Adam Gundersheimer) pictures Lenker at her freest, feeling out each of the song’s alliterative bends through interpretive dance.
