Addison Rae’s “Headphones On” video is pure Scandi escapism

Addison Rae has released her latest single. “Headphones On” was produced by Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd and comes with a video shot in Reykjavík, Iceland. The Mitch Ryan-directed visuals begin with Rae working behind the counter of a convenience store and dreaming of a different life. She presses play on her iPod Nano and is transported to the Scandinavian landscape where she rides a horse and has neon pink hair. Check it out below.

“Headphones On” is the second Addison Rae song of 2025 and follows “High Fashion,” which was released in February. Last year she released “Diet Pepsi” and “Aquamarine,” the latter of which was remixed by Arca. The pair performed “Aquamarine / Arcamarine” at Coachella earlier this month.

It was during that same Coachella set that Rae chose a unique method to the release date for her forthcoming album. Press materials for “Headphones On” confirms that it will appear on the project, which has a June 6 release date, alongside “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” and “High Fashion.” Rae is yet to confirm the title of the album.
