#Reds vs. Brewers prediction: Take Under in pitchers’ duel

Cincinnati Reds ace Sonny Gray enters Sunday’s start in Milwaukee with 36 straight starts allowing six hits or fewer, an MLB record.

In 18 starts since the beginning of July 2018, Gray has a 1.77 ERA with 0.8 home runs surrendered and 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings.

The Brewers’ Brandon Woodruff has pitched well at home with a 3.05 ERA with 11.6 strikeouts per nine innings in 14 starts since the start of the 2019 season.

The two offenses entered the weekend scuffling, with both in the bottom five of the NL in runs per game and in the bottom four in batting average.

With Ryan Braun still on the injured list and Lorenzo Cain opting out of the season for a Brewers lineup that has stuck out the second-most times in the league, and Mike Moustakas dealing with various injuries and illness the opening weeks of the season, it should lead to a low-scoring game.

The Play: Reds-Brewers total, Under 8 runs.
