#NFL Power Rankings for Week 10: Dolphins lead big shake-up

Multiple statement wins on Sunday shook up much of the Top 10 in The Post’s weekly NFL Power Rankings.

Rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the rising Miami Dolphins move into that lofty company for the first time this season, while the Tennessee Titans also jump back into the high-end mix by ending their two-game losing streak against Chicago.

The New Orleans Saints also are now the top-ranked team in the NFC, by virtue of their blowout win Sunday night over Tampa Bay.

1. Kansas City Chiefs, 8-1 (Last week: 1)

While a couple of early front-runners for league MVP have slipped in recent weeks, 2018 winner Patrick Mahomes continues to dominate alongside weapons Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Ho hum, Mahomes now has 25 touchdown passes and one interception through nine games. Next: Bye

2. Pittsburgh Steelers, 8-0 (2)

Mike Tomlin’s team had far more trouble with Dallas than expected, needing a late Big Ben Roethlisberger TD hookup with Eric Ebron — and Minkah Fitzpatrick’s end-zone breakup on the final play — to down a Cowboys squad on its fourth starting quarterback (Garrett Gilbert) to improve to 8-0 for the first time in team history. Next: Sunday vs. Cincinnati

3. New Orleans Saints, 6-2 (5)

Sunday’s rout of Tom Brady and Tampa — and multiple losses apiece in recent weeks by Seattle and Green Bay — have Drew Brees and the Saints not only in the lead in the NFC South but tied for the best record in the conference entering a home game against a banged-up and reeling opponent this week. Next: Sunday vs. San Francisco

4. Baltimore Ravens, 6-2 (6)

Lamar Jackson hasn’t posted the same numbers as he did during last season’s MVP run — few in NFL history have, of course — but the Ravens still have scored 20 or more points in 31 consecutive games, the most in league history. They pulled out a tough win against stingy Indianapolis on Sunday, rebounding nicely from their tough divisional loss to Pittsburgh. Next: Sunday night at New England

5. Green Bay Packers, 6-2 (7)

Fans of the Pack have endured some mood swings over the past month, alternating wins and losses in their last four games after opening the season 4-0. Davante Adams has only appeared in six games, but he leads the league in receiving yards per game (112.5), including 173 in Sunday’s win over the 49ers. Next: Sunday vs. Jacksonville

6. Buffalo Bills, 7-2 (8)

Josh Allen and western New York’s team posted a statement win Sunday against Seattle, sticking 44 points on the Seahawks to move closer to their first AFC East title since 1995. Allen matched his career-high with 415 passing yards and three aerial TDs, plus his fifth rushing score of the season. Next: Sunday at Arizona

7. Seattle Seahawks, 6-2 (3)

The dirty little secret about the Seahawks has been exposed the past several weeks, as their 32nd-ranked defense (455.8 ypg) got torched by the Bills for the most points allowed in one game during Pete Carroll’s 11 years in Seattle. After starting 5-0, this week’s game suddenly is a first-place showdown in the NFC West. Next; Sunday at LA Rams

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 6-3 (4)

Another “what the heck was that” performance in Week 9 came from Tom Brady (three INTs) and the Bucs, who had won six of their previous seven before getting waxed by the Saints. The 38-3 loss represented the largest margin of defeat in Brady’s 21 NFL seasons. Next: Sunday at Carolina.

9. Tennessee Titans, 6-2 (11)

Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry has ceded the NFL rushing lead to Minnesota’s Dalvin Cook (206 yards Sunday), but Henry still is on pace for nearly 1,700 and 16 touchdowns. The Titans halted their two-game slide with Sunday’s home win over the Bears to remain atop the AFC South entering a key short-week divisional matchup. Next: Thursday vs. Indianapolis

10. Miami Dolphins, 5-3 (14)

Tagovailoa has taken his talents to South Beach and is taking Miami by storm, with wins in each of his first two starts since replacing Ryan Fitzpatrick, including Sunday’s wild 34-31 road win over Kyler Murray and Arizona to place the Dolphins firmly in the AFC playoff hunt with their fourth straight win overall. Next: Sunday vs. LA Chargers

11. Arizona Cardinals, 5-3 (9)

12. Indianapolis Colts, 5-3 (10)

13. Los Angeles Rams, 5-3 (12)

14. Las Vegas Raiders, 5-3 (15)

15. Cleveland Browns, 5-3 (13)

16. Chicago Bears, 5-4 (16)

17. San Francisco 49ers, 4-5 (17)

18. Philadelphia Eagles, 3-4-1 (21)

19. New England Patriots, 3-5 (22)

20. Minnesota Vikings, 3-5 (26)

21. Detroit Lions, 3-5 (18)

22. Denver Broncos, 3-5 (19)

23. Carolina Panthers, 3-6 (20)

24. Atlanta Falcons, 3-6 (27)

25. Cincinnati Bengals, 2-5-1 (25)

26. Houston Texans, 2-6 (29)

27. Los Angeles Chargers, 2-6 (23)

28. Dallas Cowboys, 2-7 (28)

29. Giants, 2-7 (31)

Amazing what a turnover-free game and an actual defensive closeout can do, but Daniel Jones and the Giants probably are going to have to defeat another team besides Washington to factor in the lowly NFC East. Next: Sunday vs. Philadelphia

30. Washington Football Team, 2-6 (24)

31. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1-7 (30)

32. Jets, 0-9 (32)

Welp, the Jets held a 10-point lead against the Pats with barely six minutes remaining Monday night, on the strength of three Joe Flacco touchdowns. Cam Newton then led three straight scoring drives — a field goal, a tying TD plunge and a game-winning field goal by former Jets kicker Nick Folk as time expired — to complete Gang Green’s first 0-9 start in franchise history.
