Rosco P. Coldchain has been released from prison after serving more than a decade behind bars in connection to a 2008 murder.

Judging from his Instagram account, Coldchain (real name Amin Porter) was freed in November. The North Philly native was arrested in December 2008 for the alleged murder of a man in Philadelphia.

Following his release, the Neptunes affiliate is already teasing new music and appears to have a fresh outlook as he walks into 2023 a free man.

“Back @ it like I never left.. LAST NiGHT SHOULD’VE NEVER HAPPENED the Ep coming soon!!!!!! For the culture….. Enjoy,” he wrote with a clip of him in the studio.

In a separate post, Rosco reflected on his turbulent journey and how he always kept faith in that he would one day get back to freedom.

“What is faith? I think it’s all-encompassing, right? To believe you could overcome anything,” he said. “To have faith in your higher power… To have faith, I had a lot of faith that I was going to overcome my obstacles. I had a lot of faith that I would see the city of Philadelphia and the skyline all over again after 14 years.

“I had faith that I would be in this beautiful, beautiful building — waking up to it working out one day [as] opposed to looking at four walls, a toilet, a sink. Living in the bathroom with another man. I had faith that one day I would see my kids again — see their smiles again. I had faith I would see my mother again.”

Coldchain and his lethal pen rose to fame in the early 2000s working with the likes of Pusha T and The Neptunes, who he collaborated with on his 2003 standout single “Hot.”

The Almost Famous rapper also teamed up with legends such as DJ Premier, Havoc of Mobb Deep and more in the past.

Last year, The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The duo’s induction included a special performance by Usher, who worked with The Neptunes on his 2001 album 8701. During a red carpet appearance after the show, Pharrell spoke to a reporter saying it was a huge honor to be inducted.

“It’s a huge honor,” Pharrell said. “You’ve heard that all night on this carpet, it really is. The immense sense of gratitude that I feel is probably taking over everything in terms of like the being in it-ness. I’m failing at that because I always have delayed reactions, so 2-3 days from now I’ll be like whoa I was really in the room with like the Eurythmics and Ronald lsley. It’ll probably hit me by then but right now it’s kinda like oh wow.”
