#9-nine- Visual Novel Inspires Anime

The supernatural mystery visual novel 9-nine- is getting a TV anime adaptation.

The PALETTE-developed series made its Japanese PC debut in 2017 before beginning to arrive on Steam in English 2019. Japanese PS4 and Nintendo Switch releases happened in June 2023. Steam describes Episode 1 as:

9-nine- Episode 1 is the first volume in a series of supernatural mystery games, with Episode 1 telling a story centered around Miyako Kujo. The entries in the the 9-nine- series share the same setting and world, but each entry focuses on a different heroine. 9-nine- is a tale of the town of Shiromitsugawa, host to mysterious Artifacts and the superpowers they bestow on their Users. A tale of growing trust and budding romance between the protagonist and the heroine, and also a murder mystery where they hunt down the culprit behind a series of supernatural murders. Each game has an independent story that can be enjoyed on its own. We hope you enjoy the experience that is the 9-nine- series.

The 9-nine- game has five installments so far. Steam currently has four, with Episode 4 being released in March 2021.

A concert with the name 9-nine- symphonicconcert2 with Animation will be held on September 8 at Tachikawa Stage Garden to celebrate the game getting an anime adaptation.
