#9-nine- Anime Reveals Visual, 2025 Release, Staff, Cast

The 9-nine- TV anime adaptation has received a visual and a 2025 release window. Its main staff and cast were also announced, and its title has been revealed to be 9-nine- Ruler’s Crown.

9-nine- Ruler’s Crown is produced by PRA with Koichi Ohata (Maken-ki!, Sayuki Reload -burial-) as director and Saori Sakiguchi (Technoroid: Overmind) as character designer. The cast includes:

• Atsushi Abe as Kakeru Niimi
• Misato Fukuen as Miyako Kujo
• Atsumi Tanezaki as Sora Niimi
• Yuri Yamaoka as Haruka Kosaka
• Akane Fujita as Noa Yuki
• Kazutomi Yamamoto as Yoichi Fukazawa
• Tomokazu Sugita as Renya Nakamine
• Hana Takeda as Satsuki Naruse
• Satomi Arai as Sophitia 

The voice actors are all reprising their roles from the all-ages version of the visual novel.

The PALETTE-developed series made its Japanese PC debut in 2017 before beginning to arrive on Steam in English in 2019. The all-ages version was released for Windows in Japan in 2021, and later for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2022. 

Steam describes the start of the series, 9-nine-: Episode 1 as:

9-nine- Episode 1 is the first volume in a series of supernatural mystery games, with Episode 1 telling a story centered around Miyako Kujo. The entries in the the 9-nine- series share the same setting and world, but each entry focuses on a different heroine. 9-nine- is a tale of the town of Shiromitsugawa, host to mysterious Artifacts and the superpowers they bestow on their Users. A tale of growing trust and budding romance between the protagonist and the heroine, and also a murder mystery where they hunt down the culprit behind a series of supernatural murders. Each game has an independent story that can be enjoyed on its own. We hope you enjoy the experience that is the 9-nine- series.

Aside from news about the anime adaptation, it was revealed that Aoi Yuki will voice the new heroine of the recently announced spin-off.
