#Who is Brittany Commisso, the latest Cuomo accuser to go public?

The aide who’s leveled the most serious sexual misconduct allegations against Gov. Andrew Cuomo has identified herself as Brittany Commisso — a married mom of one who joined the governor’s team in 2017.

The 32-year-old was previously known only as “Executive Assistant #1″ in state Attorney General Letitia James’ scathing report concluding that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women, including current and former staffers, in violation of state and federal law.

For the first time Monday, Commisso publicly came forward with her claims that Cuomo twice groped her in the Executive Mansion — calling his conduct “a crime” in a new interview with “CBS This Morning” and the Albany Times Union.

Here’s what you need to know about Commisso, who filed a criminal complaint against the governor last week.

She’s been working in government for nearly a decade

After graduating from SUNY Albany with a degree in political science and government, Commisso landed a gig in the Albany County Department of Law in 2013, according to her since-deleted LinkedIn page.

She then worked in the Albany County Alternate Public Defender’s Office until late 2017, when she was hired as an executive assistant in the governor’s office, the Times Union reported.

Commisso left that job for an opportunity to work for a top official at a state agency, but returned to the Executive Chamber in 2019, when, according to public records, she was hired as a $62,000-a-year administrative assistant — a title she still holds to this day.

By that November, the Times Union reported, she was being called to assist Cuomo more frequently, including at the Executive Mansion.

That’s when his alleged creepy behavior began, with hugs she says the governor gave her “with the intention of getting some personal sexual satisfaction out of it.”

“He thought this was normal to me, and the other women that he did this to,” Commisso said in the interview aired Monday. “It was not normal, it was not welcome, and it was certainly not consensual.”

She was married in 2016 and has a daughter

Commisso has been married since 2016 to Frank Commisso Jr., 37, a former Albany Common Council member who works for the New York State and Local Retirement System.

The two are in the midst of contested divorce proceedings and have a daughter, who is around 6 years old.

Commisso’s estranged husband ran unsuccessfully for Albany mayor in 2017 as a Democrat. His Twitter profile from the campaign shows the couple working together on election night. Neither she nor her hubby appear to currently use social media.

His father is Frank Commisso Sr., a Democratic member of the Albany County Legislature since 1983.

Commisso has said she initially kept silent about Cuomo’s alleged gross behavior because she feared retribution from his staff — and because she wanted to protect her daughter.

However, “after a couple of months and processing this whole thing, I do want her to know that she has a voice,” Commisso said in Monday’s sit-down.

“I never want her to be afraid to speak. I never want her to be afraid of any person in power, a man or a woman.”

Her allegations against Cuomo are the most serious

Commisso alleges that on New Year’s Eve 2019, the governor groped her behind after she helped him with his “State of the State” speech.

She has also accused Cuomo of reaching under her blouse to grope her breast during an incident at the Executive Mansion in Albany last year.

“I mean it was — he was like cupping my breast. He cupped my breast,” she told investigators.

She added: “I in no way, shape or form invited that nor did I ask for it. I didn’t want it. I feel like I was being taken advantage of.”

The report described the alleged groping as the culmination of a series of “offensive interactions” that also include Cuomo’s alleged “touching and grabbing of [Commisso’s] butt during hugs and, on one occasion, while taking selfies with him.”

Cuomo could face “a couple” of misdemeanor charges based on Commisso’s allegations, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said Saturday.

Apple’s office took Commisso’s complaint during a brief interview on Thursday.

Cuomo, 63, has repeatedly denied that he ever “touched anyone inappropriately.” He has not been criminally charged.
