#86 EIGHTY-SIX To Air 22nd and 23rd Episodes on March 2022

The 22nd and 23rd episodes of 86 EIGHTY-SIX will air in March 2022, with the anime’s Twitter page citing “quality maintenance” for the decision. The episodes will air on March 12 and March 19 respectively.

The show previously suffered delays for its 18th and 19th episodes due to “production circumstances.”

The affected episodes of 86 EIGHTY-SIX belong to its second cour, which premiered on October 2, 2021 and is airing as part of the Fall 2021 anime season. The first cour ran from April 2021 to June 2021. 

The anime is based on the light novel series by Asato Asato, which began in 2017 and has 10 volumes as of June 2021. The books are published under the Dengeki Bunko label.

Called “Juggernaut,” these are the unmanned combat drones developed by the Republic of San Magnolia in answer to the attacks by the autonomous unmanned drones of the neighboring Empire of Giad, the “Legion”.
