Isolation Stories is just one of the top TV shows this weekend, June 27-28

We’re into another weekend with little new on broadcast TV. However, that doesn’t mean there are no TV shows to watch. There’s something for both nights of the weekend, June 27-28.

In fact, there are two programs on broadcast TV you may want to check out. The exact type of show will depend on the mood you’re in.

Here are our top picks for TV shows this weekend:

Isolation Stories

If you’re in the mood for a short binge-watch and you want to see what happens when you put actors in isolation, you’ll want to check out Isolation Stories. The series dropped on BritBox earlier this week, and it’s packed with four great stories from actors who filmed with their families following all lockdown procedures in the UK.

You can watch the series right now on BritBox.

Global Goal: Unite for Our Future

Need something light but that supports the great work the first responders and hospital workers have done recently? Global Goal: Unite for Our Future is the concert you want to watch. Think of it a little like the Red Nose Day specials, packed with various artists taking to the stage to show their appreciation through song.

The concert starts at 8/7c on NBC on Saturday night.

Celebrity Family Feud

If you’re looking for just a laugh, you’ll want to turn to ABC on Sunday night. Celebrity Family Feud sees Wayne Brady take on Cedric the Entertainer.

It’s your typical series but with two excellent celebrities going head-to-head. And with Steve Harvey in the middle, what couldn’t be better?

Celebrity Family Feud airs Sunday at 8/7c on ABC.

Snowpiercer

This show just keeps getting better. Starting with a TV crime drama to pull Layton out of the tail, we’re now into a world where strikes are being threatened. The whole class system could be pulled down with the secret that Layton knows.

Melanie will do whatever she can to find Layton before it’s too late. That may or may not mean the death of someone close to our Tailie Detective. Also, LJ may or may not learn the truth about Wilford.

Watch Snowpiercer on TNT at 9/8c on Sunday night.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels

We finish with a show that airs its season finale tonight. We’ve gone on a nine-week journey to get to this point, but all episodes are still available to watch through SHOWTIME. You can spend the weekend catching up if you’re ready for an intense binge-watch.

Storylines come together, riots begin, and loyalty is tested. Can Lewis and Tiago protect Brian, will Mateo choose family, and what’s Molly going to find out her mother has done?

Check out Penny Dreadful: City of Angels season finale on Sunday at 10/9c.
