Summer comes around every year (who would’ve known) and that means you can trade in our hot brews & soups for a glass of cold, refreshing (and nutritious) smoothie. With so many colorful and flavorful fruits and vegetables available in the market, you can put together any kind of smoothie you like. But why just stop there? Add in a spoonful of your favorite single-ingredient protein powder to get a much-needed boost of essential amino acids. 

Berry Fantastic

Let’s start with a smoothie that has it all. The berries in the smoothie aren’t just there for show, they help detoxify your system and provide essential vitamins that build your immunity. 

Ingredients:

Milk, Water, or Yogurt — 1.5 cups

Protein Powder — 1 scoop (2tbps)

Strawberry — 1 cup

Blueberry — 1 cup

Raspberry — ½ cup

Blackberry — ½ cup

Method:

Blend all these ingredients together in a blender on high for 60 seconds or until you get a creamy, smooth consistency. Enjoy morning, day or night!

Bananarama

Ingredients:

Triple Berry Mix (frozen) — 1.5 cups

Chia Seeds or Oats — 1 to 1.5 tbsp (depending on how thick you want your smoothie)

Method:

Add everything to a high-speed blender and pulse away. You can add in more milk or water to adjust the consistency.

Okay, so chocolate may not spell Summer for some people, but it is an essential ingredient in many smoothies. So try this smoothie out if you’re a choco-lover like us. 

P-S. you will never guess that this smoothie is hiding half a cup of spinach.

Ingredients:

Milk, Water, or Yogurt — 1.5 cups

Protein Powder (preferably chocolate flavored) — 1 scoop (2tbps)

Banana (frozen) — 1 

Spinach — ½ cup

Dark Cocoa Powder — 1 tbsp 

Method:

Blend all ingredients on high till everything mixes well together. This high-protein smoothie is a glass full of energy.

Pina Colada on Protein

Tropical smoothies are the best. This one doesn’t just pack the refreshing flavor of a tropical concoction but also comes with boatloads of protein to help you start your day right.

Ingredients:

Milk, Water, or Yogurt — 1.5 cups

Banana  — ½ 

Pineapple — 1 cup

Ground flax — 1 tbsp

Coconut flakes — 2tbsp (your choice of sweetened or unsweetened)

Plain yogurt (or a vegan alternative) — ½ cup

Ingredients:

Milk, Water, or Yogurt — 1.5 cups

Protein Powder — 1 scoop (2tbps)

Frozen Banana  — 1 

Frozen Blueberries — 1 cup

Fresh Kale — 1 cup

Ground flax — 1 tbsp

Cauliflower — 3 florets

Dark Cocoa Powder — 1 tbsp  

Method:

Blend all these ingredients on high till this superfood smoothie comes to life.
