#3rd Season of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Announced

A third season for Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun has been announced. An announcement image and an illustration from the manga’s author Osamu Nishi were released.

The new season will see Iruma facing a new challenge in the form of the Harvest Festival, an event which involves entering a massive jungle in the Netherworld and competing with his classmates secure food.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is based on Nishi’s ongoing manga, which began in 2017 and has 23 tankōbon volumes as of August 2021. The first season aired from 2019 to 2020, while the second season aired in 2021 and ended on September 11.

Crunchyroll describes the show as:

Suzuki Iruma, human, 14, one day finds himself taken against his will into the world of demons. To add to his predicament, his doting owner and self-appointed “Grandpa” is the chair-demon at his new school. In order to survive, Iruma must deal with a haughty student who challenges him to a duel, a girl with adjustment issues, and so many more scary beings! Can this ultimate pacifist dodge the slings and arrows that are flung his way? As he struggles frantically, Iruma’s innate kindness begins to win over enemies.

Both seasons of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun include Makoto Moriwaki (PriPara) as the director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2) as the series composer, and Satohiko Sano (Talentless Nana) as one of the character designers. Season 1‘s other character designer was Keiko Yamamoto (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy animation director), was Season 2’s was Yumiko Hara (B-PROJECT -Zeccho*Emotion-).

Other staff that were involved in both seasons include Hitomi Yoshida (He Is My Master) as the art director, Hiroyuki Chiba (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;Surrection) as the photography director, and Akimitsu Honma (Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku) as the music composer. BN Pictures is the animation production studio for both seasons.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Ayumu Murase as Iruma Suzuki, Ryōhei Kimura as Alice Asmodeus, Ayaka Asai as Clare Valac, and Saori Hayami as Ameri Azazel.
