“#2K Set To Reveal “New Franchise” This Month, What Could It Be?”

If there is one industry that has been positively affected by the pandemic, it’s surely the gaming industry. Game developers from all around the world have done their best to help people get through the pandemic. Internet today is filled with so many new updates on all kinds of games, bringing fans loads of new content.

Take-Two Interactive is also one such video game company which have brought a lot of new content for the fans. Be it, GTA 5 Online or NBA 2k21, Take-Two has provided constant developments for fans to enjoy. 2k released NBA 2K21 just last month and we already have some news about 2k’s next endeavor.

The Announcement

Earlier today, Take-Two Interactive revealed its Q1 2022 earnings over a conference call with shareholders. For those who do not know, Take-Two is not a company of 2K (NBA 2K creators) and Rockstar games (GTA creators). So, at this shareholder meeting, Take-Two confirmed that publisher 2K would be announcing a new video game by the end of this month. Also, the company stated that the upcoming game is currently set to launch by the end of the fiscal year.

“Later this month, 2K will unveil details of another exciting new franchise planned for launch during this fiscal year”, Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said.

About the Game

2K, as many of you might know, is the publisher of gaming franchises like NBA 2K, Borderlands, XCOM, and Civilization. As far as we know, the new game would not be a sequel from any other existing franchise. In fact, it would be a new property and it might establish a franchise.

As mentioned above, it would be officially announced at the end of the month, that is, 31^st August. It is slated to release at the end of Take-Two’s fiscal year, which would be March 31, 2022. As of now, we have no idea what it could be about. It might be based on some 2k property and could be a spin-off. At this stage, we can only guess, and so can you.
